Gents Canon Cassock: Single-Breasted

The Canons cassock is made in your choice of black fabric with red piping and cuffs as standard with Red Plastic Buttons.

Our Cassocks are usually lined down to the Waist (we always recommend this, as the garment will hang and look better) - though they can be unlined on request. Made with red piping and red buttons.

All Cassocks come with deep pockets on both sides and also slits through to trouser pockets.

Please also note that the Pen Pocket is visible on the outside of the Cassock, when fastened.

We do not recommend a Fly Front for either the Terylene/Wool lightweight or 100% wool, due to them pulling on the material and distorting the garment.

Brushed Braid (to protect the hem) is included as standard in the cost of Cassocks made in the 100% Wools or Terylene & Wool mixtures.

Please do not hesitate to request fabric samples if this would help in deciding which fabric would be most suitable for your purpose. 

33 or 39 Buttons are options, or if the number of buttons is not felt to be critical, we can provide evenly spaced buttons. The number of the evenly spaced buttons would then depending on the wearer's height, spaced 2.5 inches apart.

The addition of piping means that this cassock must be Dry-Cleaned to prevent shrinkage of the Piping.

Back Options

Cassocks are available with:

C: 3 Pleats - 1 Centre Back, 1 over each Pocket (The 3 Pleat style we recommend for Gentlemen)

B: 5 Pleats - 3 Centre Back, 1 over each Pocket, Higher Church Option

Cassocks are available with the following collar versions:

1. Open - To show White Clerical collar (usually 1" - 1 ½" on a Single Breasted), rounded off or square
2. Closed - no White Clerical collar to show, rounded off or square.
